I think I am getting past the homesickness stage of my trip. Starting to mentally adjust to this new environment, being around new people, and being away from loved ones. I've started to relax and stop worrying so much about everything, aka money. Yes, everything is expensive, but I don't want to regret not doing anything on my trip here.
We've been doing some cool things, visiting some awesome areas, and meeting great Japanese people. They are all so incredibly friendly here. Everyone is constantly happy, even strangers on the street.
Classes started this week. I really like all my classes, especially sum-e painting and gender & society. The only bad part is that people stare at me when I walk onto campus. Everyone can clearly tell I am American... At least my iPod distracts me. Here are some pictures of my latest adventures.
P.S. I will be posting again very soon. Yesterday we had a Japanese culture day with a tea ceremony, calligraphy, kimonos!, among other things. Check back soon for those pictures.
